The room was stunning. So clean, huge size, cute terrace. Although residential, a convenient area with lots of recommendations of restaurants from our host. Was a wonderful place to stay with nice people. Parking available if needed.

We felt very welcomed right from the beginning. It was the perfect start of our Capetown trip. Ideal place to calm down, very comfortable rooms, beautiful garden and pool area, friendly owner and staff, yummy food.. nothing to declare.

De tudo! Funcionários excelentes, amáveis, prestáveis. O Dono Jacques é uma excelente pessoa, sempre disposto a ajudar, muito simpático e humilde. O quarto era super espaçoso, cama óptima, frigorífico com bebidas, casa de banho ampla e bons produtos de limpeza e limpeza do quarto impecável. Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit direktem Blick auf den Tafelberg. Gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal (Prudence und Grant). Jacques ist ein ausgezeichneter Gastgeber. Er gab uns gute Tipps für Ausflüge in die Weinregion, Golf usw. Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen.

Excellent location in Cape Town, safe and quiet. Beautiful guesthouse, warm and inviting. Modern and comfortable clean room, water and chocolate everyday. Breakfast is rich with a huge variety. Jacques is an amazing attentive and kind host. He is extremely friendly and helped us plan our days activities and offered excellent restaurant recommendations, better than what my husband has chosen previously :)) He even made bookings for us and also directed us with recommendations where to buy some souvenirs we have desired...thanks Jacque! We had a great time in Cape Town and would definitely recommend Devonport House. Looking forward to visit/meet again! Era and Ari

Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die uns viele Tipps gegeben und Restaurants gebucht haben. Die Lage ist sehr gut, da ruhig, mit tollem Ausblick auf die Stadt, die Berge und trotzdem zentral. Mit Uber waren wir in wenigen Minuten in Zielen in Kapstadt unterwegs. Das Mietauto haben wir nur für weitere Ausflüge gebraucht. Netflix ist vorhanden. Wir haben uns in den 14 Tagen schnell wie zu Hause gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Die tolle Lage mit wunderschönem Blick auf den Tafelberg. Die freundlichen, entgegenkommenden Gastgeber und das Personal, Das leckere kleine Frühstücksbuffet mit Avocados, Lachs..... Das schöne Zimmer und der kleine private Liegenbereich am Pool Eigener Parkplatz im geschützten Areal Am letzten Tag durften wir so lange bleiben wir wir wollten und uns im Gästebereich aufhalten, es gab Tee, Kaffee, Bücher, Obst..... Man bekam Zitronenwasser und Kekse serviert

Die Zimmer waren super sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Es gab kleine Aufmerksamkeiten wie eine Kaffeemaschine, eine kleine Flasche Rotwein, Kekse zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit, usw.. Das Frühstück war qualitativ exzellent, das Beste bisher von allen Unterkünften in Südafrika. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben super Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können die Unterkunft jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Amazing stay in Cape Down at Devonport House
The property was exceptionally clean, felt extremely safe and secure and is in a great location within approx 10 mins from the V&A Waterfront. Jacques (the owner) was super helpful with local restaurant recommendations and activities to do in the local area. Jacques staff were attentive but not intrusive and extremely smiley every morning which was fantastic. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a variety of options from cereals and pastries to avocado and salmon. The bedrooms are large. We would highly recommend staying here and put it on a par with top hotels in South Africa such as Strandloper and The Rectory.

Locatie was top, rustig gelegen in degelijke buurt. Rustige mooie tuin met zicht op de Tafelberg. Lekker ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel en zeer aangename gastheer. Zeer gezellig verblijf om vandaaruit excursies te doen zowel als even thuis op adem bij te komen. Aanrader!

Wir waren 5 Nächte im Devonport House und können dieses Guesthouse nur empfehlen. Ruhige Lage mit Blick auf den Tafelberg. Die Zimmer sind super sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben ruhig und sehr gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Es gibt keine warmen Speisen wie Eier etc. - dafür leckeren Nespresso Kaffee. Im Frühstücksbereich/Aufenthaltsraum steht ganztägig frisches Obst, Kekse, Kaffee und Tee bereit. Das Personal ist durchweg super freundlich und hat immer ein Strahlen im Gesicht. Jaques, der Inhaber, steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und hilft wo er kann - gerne wieder!

Prachtige kamer met terras en mooi uitzicht, alle comfort en superrustig! Overheerlijk ontbijt. Privé parking. Jacques, de heer des huizes, is super begaan. Hij geeft goeie tips, zonder opdringerig te zijn, informeert hoe je dag is geweest, reserveert je restaurant 's avonds, betaalde zelfs onze taxi toen UBER ons niet lukte de eerste avond om 23u. Dankjewel Jacques! Devonport House was een mooie start van onze 4-weken durende reis.

Incredibly warm home away from home
It felt very much like staying with at a good friend's house. Every morning, Jacques (the owner) came to the breakfast and would advise interesting places to visit, restaurants to stop at, and even the best scenic routes to drive. The breakfast itself was super fresh and tasty, with great fruit mix salad, fresh yoghurt, selection of cheese, etc. The staff were very friendly. The house is located in a very quiet safe neighbourhood up on the hill. There was a very convenient parking space. Bathroom had nice high quality shampoo, soap, etc. The room itself was spacious, very clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend this to be your home away from home.
